About the position

The Head of Product at Canopy is responsible for defining the long-term vision and short- to medium-term roadmap for the company's product offerings. This role involves deep engagement with customers to understand their needs and translating that understanding into actionable product strategies. The Head of Product will collaborate closely with engineering and other teams to ensure the product meets market demands and drives customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Create a product vision that meets customer needs and translate it into a roadmap.
• Sell the product vision and roadmap to the company and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering to build the roadmap that delights customers and drives sales.
• Provide direct leadership and management to the Product Management and UX teams.
• Develop a keen understanding of the market and serve as a thought leader within the industry.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in software and 5+ years in product leadership.
• Experience with responsibility for a product's overall success and strategic roadmap.
• Successful track record at high-growth venture-backed SaaS companies.
• Best in class communication skills across various stakeholders.
• Informed on AI trends within software.

Nice-to-haves

• Accounting industry experience.
