About the position

The Head of International Marketing at Gaia is responsible for leading the marketing execution for the company's content in Spanish, French, and German markets. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive international marketing strategies that align with Gaia's mission and values, while also driving audience engagement and business growth on a global scale. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international markets and consumer behavior, and will be skilled in crafting compelling narratives and building strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for and execute comprehensive international marketing strategies across paid, organic, and social media.
  • Conduct market research to identify key trends, audience preferences, and competitive landscape in target regions.
  • Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse cultural backgrounds and languages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with content creators, product teams, and regional stakeholders to localize and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of digital marketing tactics, including social media, email, SEO/SEM, and influencer partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with international media outlets, influencers, and organizations.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies.
  • Manage a team of international marketing professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in French, German, and/or Spanish languages preferred, with in-territory professional experience a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in international marketing, preferably in the media, entertainment, or digital content industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful international marketing campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of cultural nuances, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics across different regions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in other languages preferred.
  • Understanding of cultural sensitivities to inform and innovate localization of marketing assets.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and the ability to analyze complex problems.
  • Passion for conscious media, social impact, and driving positive change.
