About the position

The Head of Engineering for Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and Ignition will lead the development of innovative EFI and ignition products for Holley and MSD brands. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the automotive sector, to oversee product development from concept to production while ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Steer the development and innovation of EFI and ignition products for both Holley and MSD brands.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring high-quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to drive product development and market success.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with customers, industry professionals, and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights for product enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure our products remain at the cutting edge.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering leadership experience in automotive Tier 1 or OEM in an electrical engineering focused role.
  • Proven track record of hands-on experience in EFI and ignition systems development.
  • Experience in calibrating aftermarket EFI systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with both DIY and professional-grade automotive engine management products.
  • Several years of experience in a Tier 1 or OEM as a calibration engineer.
  • Knowledge of the latest advancements in EFI and ignition technologies.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry regulations and standards.
