About the position

The Head of Digital Solutions Technology Risk & Governance is responsible for driving the technology risk and governance strategy within the Digital Solutions team at S&P Global. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and promote a culture of risk awareness across the organization. The position requires a strategic leader who can effectively communicate complex risk topics and lead initiatives that align with the company's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the DS risk and governance strategy by driving risk initiatives in support of the Digital Solutions strategy.
  • Build out the first line of defense to proactively identify and mitigate technology risk.
  • Define Digital Solutions risk appetite, taxonomy, and controls.
  • Establish governance framework across Digital Technology Services, Information Security, and Corporate Platforms.
  • Establish and track KPIs related to technology risk and compliance across Digital Solutions, including 3rd party risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the enterprise to integrate risk management into strategic planning.
  • Lead risk assessments and partner with Audit to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology risk management and internal controls implementation, including both building and operating a function.
  • Ability to convey complex risk topics to varied audiences, including executive leadership and technical teams.
  • Successful track record in working in a global environment, with the ability to create constructive relationships and communicate across various organizational teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with proven experience in prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years previous experience in a large global organization leading the technology risk function.
  • Master of Business Administration.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $185,500 to $300,000 based on geographic location and experience.
  • Eligibility for an annual incentive plan.
