About the position

As the Head of Design at Aircall, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual and user experience of our products. This role involves driving the creative strategy and elevating the design culture within the company. You will lead a multidisciplinary design team, collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative design solutions that align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate a clear design vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and values.
• Inspire, mentor, and grow a world-class design team.
• Champion a user-first approach across all design disciplines (UX/UI, product design, branding).
• Partner closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and other teams to drive cohesive design solutions.
• Establish and optimize design processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Encourage innovation and experimentation within the design team.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top design talent.
• Foster a culture of feedback, growth, and collaboration within the team.
• Leverage user research, data, and analytics to inform and iterate on design decisions.
• Advocate for design excellence throughout the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in design, with a proven track record in UX/UI, product design, and UX research, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing and leading the creation of innovative, user-centric experiences.
• Deep understanding of design principles, UX/UI best practices, and product development processes.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, product managers, data scientists, marketers, and more.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a history of building and mentoring high-performing design teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
• Experience with conducting and interpreting user research, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making.
• A passion for innovation, design trends, and emerging technologies.
