About the position
The Head Coach for Girls' Basketball at Clear Spring High School will oversee the winter season for 2025-2026. The position is crucial for developing the skills and teamwork of the student-athletes, ensuring a positive and competitive environment. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, managing game strategies, and fostering a supportive atmosphere for the players.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices for the girls' basketball team.
- Develop game strategies and manage in-game decisions.
- Foster a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Completed or willing to enroll in a one-credit course in the prevention and care of athletic injuries.
- Three years of coaching experience at the high school or college level.
- Experience as a player at the high school and/or college level, or have served as a team manager at the high school and/or college level.
Nice-to-haves
- Current Washington County Public School teacher.
