Head Coach - Football - Head 7th Grade Football Coach

About the position

Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the position of Head 7th Grade Football Coach at Talent Middle School. The role involves coaching football athletes around fundamental skills, drills, and practices of football. The coach will maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, and paperwork, serve as a positive role model on and off the fields, and ensure the safety of all athletes. Responsibilities include supervising the team on the field, in the locker room, and during bus trips, as well as maintaining accurate records, supplies, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Coach football athletes around fundamental skills, drills, and practices of football.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, and paperwork.
• Serve as a positive role model on and off the fields.
• Ensure safety of all athletes.
• Supervise team on the field, in the locker room, and on bus trips.
• Maintain equipment, accurate records, supplies, and inventory.

Requirements

• Successful Middle School coaching experience.
• Adheres to sports philosophy of Phoenix-Talent Schools.
• Model high standard of behavior.
• Meet/ability to meet coaching certification requirements: FA/CPR, Concussion Training, Anabolic Steroid, blood-borne pathogen, etc.
• Experience coaching football preferred.
• Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Oregon teaching license.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
