About the position
The Surgery Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate scheduling of surgical procedures within the Perioperative and Ancillary Services. This position is responsible for collecting necessary clinical and insurance information, coordinating with patients and financial counselors, and facilitating communication among perioperative caregivers to ensure smooth pre-operative preparations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure organized and accurate scheduling of all surgical procedures.
- Collect appropriate clinical and insurance information for scheduled surgeries.
- Verify insurance details and coordinate with financial counselors.
- Facilitate the flow of surgical scheduling information between clinics and caregivers.
- Collaborate with key perioperative caregivers regarding patient pre-operative preparation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in a healthcare scheduling role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
