In this role, you will manage Block Hardware portfolio's Contract Manufacturing supply base – Optimize and diversify suppliers, and negotiate cost and contracts. Partner cross-functionally to ensure capacity and launch readiness while managing supplier performance and geopolitical/tariff risk

Requirements

  • 8+ years managing Contract Manufacturing relationships, Global Supply Management, or Business Operations in hardware manufacturing, or significant experience in Business Program Management roles at a Contract Manufacturer
  • Proven ability to build financial models including should-cost analysis, supply forecasts, and risk assessments
  • Experience navigating geopolitical dynamics, tariffs, and global supply chain disruptions
  • Deep knowledge of hardware development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
  • Track record of building strong relationships with diverse suppliers and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute our Contract Manufacturing (CM) sourcing strategy, balancing supply base optimization with geographic diversification
  • Lead pricing negotiations and contract discussions with CM partners, using should-cost models to drive competitive outcomes
  • Assess geopolitical dynamics and tariff impacts, translating them into actionable supply chain strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential CM partners
  • Collaborate with Planning and Operations on capacity planning, ramp readiness, yield improvement, and throughput optimization
  • Partner with engineering and operation teams to review Design for Manufacturability, driving decisions that balance cost and supply assurance
  • Track product roadmaps and ensure CM partners are prepared to support upcoming launches
  • Resolve supplier issues and disputes, maintaining scorecards and conducting periodic business reviews
  • Present supply chain risks, mitigation plans, and strategic updates to senior management
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise in CM management and global supply chains
  • Travel internationally (~15% of time) to visit manufacturing sites and build supplier relationships
