The Store Associate position at H Mart involves various roles within the store, including meat, seafood, grocery, produce, ready-to-cook, operational support, houseware, cashier, and customer service. Associates are responsible for preparing, processing, and merchandising products, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. This part-time role requires flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and pack various meat products such as pork, beef, and chicken items.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all meat products according to food safety guidelines.
- Package and label meat products according to company guidelines.
- Clean, filet, and prepare a variety of seafood products.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance and answering questions.
- Unload, sort, and organize grocery items in designated storage areas.
- Regularly check expiration dates and generate accurate labels for grocery items.
- Implement a first-in, first-out system for grocery products.
- Merchandise produce items in a fresh and appealing manner.
- Prepare and make various meals and dishes according to standardized recipes.
- Monitor and rotate food items to ensure freshness and quality.
- Assist customers with general questions and help them load groceries into their vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of houseware inventory within the store.
- Perform all cash register functions, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and resolving complaints.
