About the position

The Gummy Inspection Lead at CAPTEK Softgel International is responsible for leading the inspection team to ensure that nutraceutical products meet quality standards as outlined in the Master Manufacturing Records. This role involves training new personnel, conducting inspections for consistency and defects, and coordinating with machine operators to make necessary adjustments. The Inspection Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining product safety and customer satisfaction by overseeing the inspection process and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Responsibilities

• Lead the inspection team to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.
• Train new inspection personnel on procedures and quality checks.
• Inspect freshly manufactured products for consistency in color, shape, size, and weight.
• Coordinate with machine operators to make adjustments as needed.
• Conduct in-process checks to ensure products meet all requirements.
• Inspect for defects and foreign material contaminants.
• Oversee the final coating of products to meet customer expectations.
• Complete Cart ID Tags and weigh carts for tracking.
• Check water activity to release carts from the dry room to packaging.
• Provide passdown information to the next shift and supervisors.
• Handle Gummy Collection, Gummy Coating, and Gummy Inspection processes.
• Perform daily and weekly safety inspections and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food, pharmaceutical, or dietary supplement production and manufacturing required.
• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
