Guidance Counselor/Social Worker

About the position

Middle Park High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate Counselor/Social Worker with strong interpersonal skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working individually and in groups with all types of teenagers, both in therapeutic and in classroom settings, and will excel in connecting families with community resources. They will also help provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program designed to address the social, emotional, educational and occupational needs of all students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades 9-12.
• Connect families with community resources.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance and counseling program.
• Address the social, emotional, educational, and occupational needs of students.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado Professional Special Services License with School Counseling endorsement or Social Work endorsement.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in an education setting desirable.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
