The Guest Services Representative at Staybridge Suites Rochester University is a vital role responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests. This position involves greeting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring that all guest inquiries and requests are handled promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to deliver top-notch guest experiences and will be trained on specific skills necessary for the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests personally and register them, making room assignments and providing transportation as needed.
• Practice professional telephone etiquette while answering calls promptly and appropriately.
• Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring all pertinent information is collected during check-in.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, recording all interactions for follow-up.
• Inform guests of hotel services, including breakfast hours, wake-up calls, and express check-out.
• Post charges from the front desk, including faxes, copies, and dry cleaning, and maintain the cash drawer.
• Take reservation calls and input guest reservations accurately.
• Maintain the hotel's key control log and issue property keys as needed.
• Check and maintain front desk equipment, performing basic troubleshooting as necessary.
• Perform daily Room Status Inquiry Reports to ensure registration cards are complete and accurate.
• Block and maintain rooms for special requests, communicating with housekeeping as needed.
• Complete front desk checklist and reports, distributing completed forms to appropriate individuals.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Nice-to-haves

• Hotel experience (preferred but not necessary).
