About the position

The Guest Services Coordinator at Camp River Ranch plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to campers, guests, and staff. This seasonal, part-time position involves managing check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest needs, and overseeing the camp store. The role requires flexibility in working hours, primarily during weekends, and offers an opportunity to engage in camp activities while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure check-in and check-out procedures are followed with guests/campers, including cleaning.
  • Answer information requests in a timely, professional manner and relay messages to relevant teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of the camp store including set-up, inventory management, and processing sales.
  • Ensure the safety of all campers by modeling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a guest-friendly atmosphere and provide quality service to resolve concerns.
  • Participate in camp life by assisting with activities, campfire, staff training, and cleaning as needed.
  • Carry out established duties regarding camper/guest health, safety, and program goals.
  • Exhibit good judgment and risk management assessment skills.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Desire and willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver's license for at least 5 years with a clean driving record.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain during staff training.
  • Ability to receive instruction and supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • 21+ years old preferred.
  • Previous experience in Girl Scout and/or camp settings.
  • Experience in guest services and/or hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience answering phones and using a copy machine.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
