About the position

Calm is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its Finance team as part of the FP&A function. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics, particularly focusing on B2B Go-to-Market initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to building a world-class FP&A function that supports Calm's growth and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial strategy for the B2B Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives, focusing on analytics across sales, marketing, services, and pipeline activities.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and services teams to develop and monitor forecasts while managing daily financial operations, including OpEx tracking, headcount, purchase orders, invoices, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and financial packages for various teams, providing insightful analysis and strategic guidance.
  • Oversee the month- and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and accruals, and collaborate with accounting for variance analyses.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within financial operations.
  • Use tools like Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, Gainsight, Outreach, Tipalti, Marketo, and Bizible to create, refine, and update models and analytics.
  • Analyze and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for B2B subscription models to drive strategic decisions.
  • Develop advanced financial models to evaluate complex business scenarios, ensuring precision and detail.
  • Streamline workflows to efficiently consolidate and analyze large, complex datasets.
  • Support ad hoc strategic and operational projects.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including expertise in advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights).
  • Proficiency in working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for forecasting and revenue analysis.
  • Skilled in presenting complex financial data using charts, dashboards, and storytelling techniques.
  • Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of B2B go-to-market (GTM) strategies, revenue streams, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Experience in building and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in financial management, focusing on B2B or SaaS business models.
  • Track record of supporting GTM teams, including sales, marketing, content, and customer success.
  • Experience with international business operations and currency analysis.
