About the position

The Group Exercise Instructor at Grand Prairie Club 24 LLC is responsible for planning, instructing, and leading group exercise programs for members. This part-time position requires the instructor to ensure the proper maintenance of fitness equipment, demonstrate exercise techniques, and provide excellent customer service to promote member engagement and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare choreography and instruct members in various levels of group exercise techniques.
• Maintain order and control over members participating in group exercise activities.
• Obtain, maintain, and secure fitness and audio equipment in compliance with acceptable standards.
• Observe and prevent potential liabilities due to injuries; ensure the safety of all participants.
• Ensure members submit printed tickets for each class attended to document attendance and membership type.
• Provide excellent and courteous customer service to members; promote all group exercise activities.
• Promote an engaging and welcoming environment to all employees, members, and visitors.
• Ensure all studios are clean and organized and all Group Fitness equipment is properly maintained.
• Attend group fitness meetings as assigned by management.
• Perform all other related work as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of previous experience leading specific group exercise programming as an instructor.
• Certifications relevant to fitness class being taught (e.g., Les Mills certifications).
• CPR/AED Certification and First Aid Certification required.
• Strong decision-making skills and a solid work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
