About the position

As a Groundskeeper at Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for the routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, buildings, and amenities within a multi-family residential community. This role emphasizes providing exemplary service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, contributing to the overall satisfaction of military families residing in the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, and building exteriors.
• Remove trash from grounds, office areas, homes, and surrounding community perimeter daily.
• Detail interior and exterior areas using general cleaning tools and equipment.
• Assist with snow shoveling of sidewalks and main entry areas where applicable.
• Help prepare make-ready units by removing trash, touch-up painting, and general cleaning.
• Assist with carrying and removal of abandoned furniture, tools, and appliances.
• Assist with repairs, replacement, and installation of window and door screens, lightbulbs, and other fixtures.
• Help clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
• Assist Service Technicians as needed.
• Perform minor interior and exterior touch-up painting and caulking.
• Clean air conditioning vents, replace air filters, and smoke detectors.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs on homes and community areas to management.
• Comply with all OSHA safety regulations and LMH Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Entry level to 6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience.
• Beginning level understanding of grounds maintenance.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment applicable to job requirements.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, managers, vendors, or residents.
• Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Basic computer skills preferred (PC/mobile device).
• Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.
