Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with older adults while demonstrating compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of landscaping, groundskeeping, lawn care, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and care for lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other outdoor landscaping features.
  • Plant, water, prune, and maintain landscaping according to seasonal needs.
  • Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment after use.
  • Follow established safety procedures and proper equipment handling practices.
  • Work independently while managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach with residents, visitors, and team members.
  • Support and adhere to Resthaven policies, procedures, and mission.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
