About the position

The Retail Sales Associate at CHEF'STORE plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the store's operations. This full-time position involves various responsibilities, including cashiering, stocking, and assisting customers across different departments. The associate is expected to embody the company's cultural beliefs and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers.
• Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately, including scanning merchandise and weighing products as necessary.
• Verify cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store.
• Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Report any low stock levels to store management and ensure all merchandise is properly labeled.
• Replenish the sales floor daily by down-stocking freight from top stock and ensuring proper rotation of products.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, and restrooms, and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Gather carts from the parking lot and ensure they are clean and operable.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
• Minimum one year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Basic computer skills and cash handling experience.
