About the position

We're looking for someone that speaks fluent Graphic Design and loves to create impactful layouts that maximize messaging while resonating with the aesthetics of multiple target markets. Ready to get creative? The ace designer that lands this job will have a strong portfolio, demonstrated work experience, and know how to work in a collaborative team environment. The Graphic Designer will work with the Director of MARCOM and the Creative Team as a creative talent in designing and implementing a wide variety of multimedia and print marketing deliverables that effectively merchandise our innovative brand of medical/rescue products and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Creative collaboration with the Director of MARCOM and MARCOM team for the implementation of NAR's branding strategies and any print/digital advertising/marketing collateral such as product catalogs, supplements, flyers/brochures, tradeshow materials, etc.
  • Work closely with the Product Development/Management team to help facilitate creative problem-solving and marketing strategies for both new and existing products.
  • Design and update advertisements for our national magazine advertising campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Director of MARCOM and the creative team to ensure the consistent communication of the NAR brand with clarity and visual excellence.
  • Be organized, self-motivated, and proactive while multi-tasking within tight timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of MARCOM.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience in design such as print or pre-press.
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience as demonstrated with a strong creative portfolio.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing solid concept/execution skills; an accessible digital portfolio, online or pdf is preferred.
  • Strong sense of design with keen, proactive attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of developing trends as they relate to printed and online applications both from the design and technological perspectives.
  • Ability to keep up with the latest design and editing software enhancements and incorporate them into your day-to-day workflow.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility when handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expertise in varying design applications, particularly the current Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in the MAC Environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with video editing and production utilizing Final Cut Pro and Motion preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and workflow management.
  • Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Able to direct and collaborate creatively with other employees and provide and receive critique in order to finalize a project creatively.
  • Must have good customer service and a helpful attitude.
