The Honors and Scholars Programs, part of Undergraduate Education & Academic Student Services, supports undergraduate research through various fellowships and funding opportunities. This Graduate Assistant (GA) role specifically supports these undergraduate research efforts by coordinating across the six undergraduate academic schools and colleges. The GA will be responsible for advertising and promoting research opportunities, updating the undergraduate research web page, maintaining Qualtrics applications and databases, evaluating funding requests, and notifying applicants of their status. Additionally, the GA will process funding reimbursement requests, facilitate the selection of Summer Scholars by forming a faculty selection committee, assemble application packets, serve as a resource to the committee, and coordinate research librarians. The GA will also monitor scholar progress, conduct check-ins with faculty mentors, plan the annual presentation of summer scholars' research, assist scholars in preparing for presentations, and coordinate with the library for project archiving.
