About The Position
The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. This position is for a Grade 8 English Language Arts teacher at Kailua Intermediate. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, new employees have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated annually. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
- Enrollment in a Teacher's Education Program if hired without completing one.
- Satisfactory demonstration of active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements annually.
- Ensure enrolled program is aligned with the teaching line.
