About the position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Government and Capital Property Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington or Des Moines, Washington. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work both remotely and onsite, depending on the needs of the hiring team. The role is essential in administering the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations regarding the acquisition, control, use, care, reporting, and disposal of property. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government regulations and corporate policies while managing property records and conducting audits. In this position, you will assist in performing audits, documenting processes and procedures, and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property. You will learn to determine property acquisition requirements, product availability, and the authority to fulfill company, program, or contractual obligations. Utilizing off-the-shelf software or Boeing system tools, you will manage and communicate property information, establishing property records for both company and government property. Maintaining accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition is crucial, and you will coordinate, prepare, and document applicable forms to indicate changes in ownership, accountability, or location of property. The role also involves conducting physical inventories of property and reconciling results to ensure compliance with regulations. You will assist in verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations. Learning to confirm that service work is scheduled and performed in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy, or recommended industry standards is a key aspect of this position. Additionally, you will perform the disposition of property identified by company, legal, or contractual requirements and assist with inventory adjustments, liability determinations, and title issues. Basic property-related activities at the completion or termination of contracts will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management systems or database applications.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 1+ years of experience managing Government Property.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations and supplemental regulations.
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification.
