About the position

This position is focused on developing, coordinating, and implementing grassroots activities and Political Action Committee (PAC) initiatives for Fresenius Medical Care employees. The role aims to enhance employee advocacy and support the company's mission through collaboration with Government Affairs. Key responsibilities include managing advocacy programs, coordinating campaigns, and supporting fundraising and political activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing a grassroots advocacy presence.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for legislative and regulatory campaigns.
  • Build relationships with coalitions and national associations for coordinated efforts.
  • Activate and involve members in grassroots advocacy efforts, including clinic tours.
  • Provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare legislative briefing papers and primers for grassroots members in collaboration with the Policy team.
  • Support administrative operations of the PAC and maximize PAC disbursements and candidate events.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal lobbying disclosure requirements.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts for the PAC.
  • Develop professional expertise and apply company policies to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2 - 5 years' related experience or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Lobbying and health care policy background (Hill, federal agency, or corporate/trade association's government affairs office).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in Washington, D.C., corporate headquarters, clinic employees, patients, and trade associations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in decision-making and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and communicate effectively.
  • Detailed knowledge of the organization.
  • Ability to drive processes forward in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Willingness to take on new projects.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and forward-leaning office technology.
