About the position
The Government Affairs Business Development Associate at Mickelson & Company is responsible for driving business growth by securing new opportunities in tax credits, grants, and renewable energy initiatives. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, leading and developing a team of Analysts, and streamlining project management to ensure alignment with the firm's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Independently secure new opportunities and support the growth of tax credits, grants, and renewable energy initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders, grow existing relationships, and initiate introductions with new prospects through cold-calling and networking efforts.
- Develop and mentor Analysts to excel in their roles, ensuring a high level of performance.
- Create efficient systems to track project progress, anticipate next steps, and keep everything on task and on schedule.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business objectives align with the firm's culture and goals.
Requirements
- Experience in business development, government affairs, or a related field.
- Strong written and communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with excellent judgment.
- The ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
