About The Position

Seasonal Welcome to Schweitzer—where passionate mountain recreation pros work hard and play harder. The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer’s Village. The Clerk is responsible for both guest facing and back of house food prep. As a Gourmandie and Schweitzer staff member you will learn about all the facilities, services, and activities that are offered on the mountain and will be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.

Requirements

Returning Staff Only
Minimum Age: 19
English reading, writing and communication.
Able to walk/stand for a full shift (potentially for up to 10 hours)
lift up to 50 lbs.
comfortable around sharp kitchen equipment

Nice To Haves

High School or GED preferred
6 months in food retail preferred
SafeServe certification preferred
Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred
Point of Sale computer system familiarity
Cash handling skills

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, offering exceptional guest service.
Take customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas clean and organized.
Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.
Welcoming clients and directing them according to their needs within the outlet.
As a Gourmandie and Schweitzer staff member you will learn about all the facilities, services, and activities that are offered on the mountain and will be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.
