About the position

SAIC is seeking a Google Cloud Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Landmark program in Chantilly, VA. Landmark is a significant SETA program that supports the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), which is responsible for the acquisition of systems throughout their entire life cycle. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph, which is mandatory for all candidates applying for this position. As a Google Cloud Engineer, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively integrate GCP services into the program's architecture. We are looking for candidates who possess hands-on experience with GCP technologies and can demonstrate their ability to work in a dynamic environment. In this position, you will be responsible for configuring and managing various GCP resources, including Compute Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage. You will also automate deployment processes using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Deployment Manager. Monitoring and optimizing cloud performance and costs will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as well as integrating cloud-based applications and services. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions will be essential to ensure the success of the program.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and five (5) years or more experience; Masters degree and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services and tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts in GCP (e.g., Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancing).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
