Responsibilities

  • Execute controlled random inbound inspections at the Rialto distribution center using AQL standards to assess apparel and textile shipments against approved specifications. Determine lot acceptance or rejection based on defect classification (critical, major, minor), document findings, and enforce immediate containment actions (release, quarantine, or escalation) to prevent non-conforming product from entering inventory and distribution.
  • Develop, standardize, and enforce global apparel quality standards, including tech packs, measurement tolerances, grading rules, and defect definitions, to ensure consistency across all vendors and regions. Maintain version control of specifications and align cross-functional teams (Procurement, Brand, and Production) to eliminate misinterpretation and ensure all products are manufactured to approved requirements.
  • Establish and manage vendor quality performance through PPM defect tracking, inspection results, and trend analysis to identify systemic issues and drive accountability. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes with vendors, enforce timelines, and escalate chronic non-performance to Procurement for commercial action, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with MEC quality standards.
  • Analyze inspection data, defect trends, and root causes to identify recurring quality issues across products and vendors. Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including process changes, training, and specification updates, to reduce defect rates, improve first-pass yield, and drive measurable improvements in overall product quality.
  • Deploy and enforce standardized QA processes and SOPs across all sourcing regions (U.S., LATAM, APAC, EMEA) to ensure consistent execution of quality controls. Conduct training for internal teams and vendors, monitor adherence to MEC quality standards, and audit compliance to ensure alignment with established inspection protocols and operational requirements.
  • Oversee and validate garment measurements, fit, and construction against approved size specs and tolerances to ensure product consistency and consumer satisfaction. Conduct detailed measurement audits, support fit approvals, and resolve discrepancies between tech packs and production output to prevent sizing defects and specification deviations.
  • Manage all non-conforming product through structured containment, documentation, and resolution processes, including quarantine, rework, return, or destruction decisions. Lead cross-functional coordination with vendors, Procurement, and Operations to implement timely corrective actions and ensure issues are fully resolved and prevented from recurring.
  • Serve as the central liaison between Procurement, Brand, Logistics, and vendors to ensure alignment on quality expectations, specifications, and issue resolution. Communicate inspection outcomes, risks, and performance trends to stakeholders, enabling timely decision-making and reinforcing accountability across the supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain standardized quality reports and dashboards, including PPM defect rates, inspection outcomes, and vendor scorecards. Provide regular updates to leadership on quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to support data-driven decision-making and continuous operational improvement.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready quality documentation, including inspection reports, defect logs, CAPA records, and vendor communications. Ensure all QA activities are properly documented and aligned with internal controls and compliance requirements, supporting internal audits and external reviews as needed.
