About the position

As the Global Product Manager for Low Voltage Dry Type Transformers, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB's offerings to targeted market segments and manage these offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and product group line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of the product line. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. This is a hybrid position. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the United States, Latin America and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
  • Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.
  • Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of-life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.
  • Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience in low-voltage electrical gear and transformer products and markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Availability to travel 25% (domestic and international) as needed.
  • Experience working in SAP and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
