About the position

The Global IT New Product Development (NPD) & Quality Solution Owner is responsible for translating functional strategies and requirements into effective process and data solutions within the New Product Development and Quality business functions. This role requires a deep understanding of Research & Development and Quality processes, along with expertise in SAP and non-SAP technical platforms. The Solution Owner will design and manage the roadmap for all related IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving value through technology investments.

Responsibilities

• Engage and influence functional stakeholders on process and technology decisions aligned to global strategies, processes and solutions.
• Deliver business value through expertise and help drive growth in business.
• Develop the IT strategic roadmap for their process area.
• Ensure transparency of the value and total cost of ownership (TCO) of all solutions in their process area.
• Build robust IT solutions that are sustainable and drive application rationalization.
• Ensure the delivery of program/projects is in line with business objectives at lowest possible costs and agreed timeline.
• Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure compliance with EA strategy and standards.
• Analyze high-level requirements and conduct cost/benefit analysis to determine proper architecture solution.
• Implement best practices to continually improve performance of solutions to achieve long-term strategic goals.
• Collaborate with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure project and operational performance.
• Play a leadership role in delivering New Product Development and Quality projects and solutions.
• Partner with the business to develop idea management artifacts (project scope, charter, business case).
• Help the functions understand system impacts to process improvement and changes.
• Work with external partners to implement new functionality according to functional requirements.
• Complete and oversee SAP (PLM, PLM Change Record & QM) and non-SAP technical and application changes.
• Actively participate in industry forums and understand how new industry trends can be leveraged in the NPD and Quality functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant IT experience executing or leading SAP implementations of PLM, PLM-CR and QM solutions.
• 5+ years in roles demonstrating exceptional leadership and solution capabilities partnering or part of Research & Development and Quality functions.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) & SAP PLM Change Record (PLM-CR) is a must.
• Knowledge and experience with Quality Management (QM) is a must.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP Fiori preferred.
• Led business case development for complex R&D and Quality initiatives.
• Detailed understanding of S/4 HANA system integration and functionality.
• Experienced in Research, Development and Quality business applications with technological awareness.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP certification is preferred.
