About the position

This position is for a Global Account Manager (GAM) within Intel's US Public Sector Global Accounts Team, focusing on driving revenue for US Defense Contractors and Systems Integrators. The role involves managing relationships with key clients such as Leidos and BAE Systems, and requires a deep understanding of the US defense industry, including budget cycles and export controls. The GAM will work remotely but must be located within 30 miles of Northern Virginia to facilitate customer visits. This senior sales role is supported by a team of engineers and business development managers, and is seen as a steppingstone into sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive direct and indirect revenue for US Defense Contractors and Systems Integrators.
  • Represent and sell products on behalf of all Intel business units to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Understand the US defense industry, including budget cycles and export controls.
  • Leverage existing relationships in the industry to grow the sales pipeline.
  • Influence customers at multiple levels and collaborate with remote teams.
  • Lead cross-functional projects including requirements management and project planning.
  • Develop knowledge of Intel's OEM products and work with customers in the federal market.
  • Communicate the value of Intel's future CPU and platform families.
  • Drive customer requirements into Intel's roadmap and product planning.
  • Facilitate discussions between Intel design teams and customers to secure design wins.
  • Analyze competitive data to develop winning sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, business management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with Leidos, BAE Systems, or the defense industrial base.
  • Proven track record of growth in sales.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience as an Account Executive in the partner ecosystem.
  • Experience as a BD lead, Program/Operations Manager, or technical solutions architect in the defense industrial base.
  • International experience with Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales, preferably in NATO countries, Asia-Pacific, and Australia.
  • Knowledge of Microelectronics Foundry processes and product roadmaps.
