About the position
As a GIS Technician I, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, focusing on GIS, utilities, and document control. This role involves organizing and maintaining utility-related documentation to ensure seamless access, researching historical data to support field operations, and resolving discrepancies. You will be responsible for verifying, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of utility records and GIS data. Collaboration with contractors, agencies, and internal teams is essential to align operational procedures, and you will provide insights by analyzing historical data and utility records. Additionally, troubleshooting GIS-related issues and executing workflows efficiently will be key components of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Educational background in Computer Science, Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, Geography, or GIS.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
