About the position

The GIS Technical Support Specialist at Frontier Precision, Inc. is responsible for providing technical support and software solutions to customers using FieldSeeker software. This role involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experience and product offerings. The position requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy FieldSeeker software solutions for new customers
• Provide technical support, software orientation, web training, and implementation assistance for new and existing FieldSeeker customers
• Troubleshoot software and hardware problems and suggest solutions
• Collaborate with FieldSeeker Support, Sales, and Product Management team to prioritize tasks, communicate customer needs, and escalate defects and enhancement requests
• Gather feedback from end users about their experiences and suggestions for product improvement
• Develop and enhance support materials such as user guides, training videos, and knowledge base articles
• Keep abreast of technology trends and developments
• Conduct on-site or in-person customer visits as needed (occasional)
• Assist in association meetings or sales demonstrations as needed (occasional)

Requirements

• Experience with ArcGIS software troubleshooting
• Mid-level GIS experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Esri ArcGIS Online ecosystem
• GISP and Esri GIS certifications
