About The Position

Call & Nicholas is seeking a geotechnical/geological engineering intern to join their consulting group based in Tucson, AZ. This position is part-time, not to exceed 30 hours per week, during normal business hours. The intern will be responsible for data reduction, technical reporting, and laboratory testing. Field work may include site characterization, geologic/geotechnical mapping, and geomechanical core logging. Candidates must be local to the Tucson area and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering or mining engineering.
• 0-5 years’ experience
• All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be local to the Tucson area

Responsibilities

• Data reduction including stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses
• Technical reporting and documentation of field work and analysis work
• Laboratory testing, performing and assisting with soil and rock strength testing
• Site characterization
• Geologic/geotechnical mapping
• Geomechanical core logging
