About The Position

B&A is looking for a Geospatial Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. The Geospatial Analyst will perform cartographic map production tasks as a member of the GIS production team supporting safety of Maritime navigation. You will work independently and as part of a team to complete a variety of tasks including project setup, feature data collection, data conversion, Quality Control (QC), data validation, and product finishing. You will complete geospatial map production tasks using GIS software to include ESRI ArcGIS Pro and FME.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, GIS, or related field
  • 3+years applicable experience or equivalent GIS mapping experience.
  • Must work onsite in Huntsville, AL facility; this position is not remote
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Foundation GEOINT mission and the supporting products and services
  • Must demonstrate the ability to complete tasks within product accuracy requirements, schedule milestones, and budget
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communications skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with little supervision and guidance required.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced geospatial production environment.
  • An active Secret clearance is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Geospatial Maritime data production such as Digital Nautical Charts (DNC) or Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC)
  • Proficient in using ESRI ArcGIS Pro

Responsibilities

  • Have a solid understanding of GIS/mapping software and technology and be familiar with a variety of GIS concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure project goals are consistently achieved by being an active contributor, communicator, and completing tasks in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.
