About the position

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical consultation to patients regarding occurrence of and risk for birth defects, mental retardation, and inherited disorders.
- Identify risks and offer appropriate testing to patients.
- Receive and communicate test results to patients.
- Write summary reports based on consultations and test results.
- Provide genetic education to medical and genetic counseling personnel.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Genetic Counseling, Human Genetics, or a closely related field.
- 2-3 years of work-related experience in genetic counseling.
- Genetic Counselor License required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Attention to detail and problem resolution skills.
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
