About the position
The General Service Technician/State Inspector at Midas is responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring quality service in inspection, diagnosis, and repair. The role requires a positive attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the use of personal tools. The technician will also have opportunities for training and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicles effectively and accurately.
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Utilize shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, and wheel alignment equipment.
- Maintain high personal productivity and quality of work.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve service goals.
Requirements
- ASE Certification or equivalent experience in automotive repair.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License that meets insurance guidelines.
- 1 year of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
Nice-to-haves
- Emissions tester certification.
- Technical degree in automotive technology.
