About the position

The General Production position in the Harvest Area at The Country Butcher involves performing various production functions efficiently and with a focus on quality. The role requires working in a physically demanding environment where livestock is harvested, and adherence to safety and food safety regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work in an area where livestock will be harvested.
• Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a cold work environment.
• Lift, pull, and push weights up to 50 lbs.
• Work overtime when necessary.
• Perform repetitive hand motions and body movements.
• Properly use tools such as knives, hooks, saws, or other specialized equipment.
• Perform physical tasks requiring upper body strength and constant repetitive movements of arms, back, and hips.
• Stand on hard surfaces for the entire shift and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comply with all food safety policies and regulations.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push weights between 10-50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and grasping.
• Must be able to work in various temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold) and conditions (wet or slippery surfaces).
• Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended hours Monday through Friday, including overtime as required.

• Prior harvest or fabrication experience.
