The role of a General Merchandise Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture on your team. This position involves leading a team by planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals, while driving process improvements and enhancing workload efficiency. No two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include executing daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, educating your team on operational procedures, and leading the daily execution of tasks such as receiving products and organizing the backroom.
