About The Position

This is more than a traditional General Manager role — it is an opportunity to lead one of the premier full-service Hilton properties in the Columbus market. Located in the vibrant Polaris district, Hilton Columbus/Polaris is a highly recognized destination known for its upscale accommodations, dynamic meeting and event space, strong food & beverage offerings, and exceptional guest service. Positioned within one of Columbus’ fastest-growing business and entertainment corridors, the hotel serves a diverse mix of corporate, group, leisure, and social business. We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager who is energized by leading a high-performing full-service hotel while continuing to elevate guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and operational excellence. This leader will play a critical role in driving overall hotel performance, strengthening market positioning, enhancing service delivery, and fostering a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and hospitality excellence. The ideal candidate understands how to balance exceptional guest experiences with strong business acumen — bringing expertise in team development, revenue strategy, operational leadership, and owner relations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager within a full-service hotel environment
  • Proven success leading upscale full-service hotel operations required
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success driving revenue performance and operational excellence
  • Strong understanding of hotel financials, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

  • Hilton brand experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading group and convention hotel operations preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, service excellence, profitability, and associate engagement
  • Create and maintain a guest-centric culture that inspires associates to consistently deliver exceptional hospitality experiences
  • Drive financial performance through strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimization, and expense management
  • Analyze operational and financial reporting to identify opportunities and implement strategies that maximize profitability and market share
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Food & Beverage leaders to strengthen the hotel’s positioning and drive commercial performance
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing executive and departmental leadership team
  • Foster a collaborative and service-driven culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong visibility throughout the hotel while ensuring exceptional product quality, cleanliness, and Hilton brand standards
  • Build relationships within the local community and represent the hotel positively with guests, ownership groups, business partners, and industry organizations
  • Lead operational initiatives that support continued growth, guest loyalty, and market leadership
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to support associate relations, talent development, and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Travel periodically for corporate meetings, leadership initiatives, and industry events
