About the position

The General Manager for the IHOP Franchise Group in Baltimore, MD, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fast-casual dining restaurant. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, ensure compliance with company policies, and maintain high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operations of the restaurant
  • Follow and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Take operational responsibility of the restaurant
  • Ensure compliance with company's policies and guidelines
  • Recruit, hire, train, retain, and develop quality staff
  • Provide leadership and training to personnel; recognize and motivate team members
  • Coach and train the team for operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act and local health and safety codes
  • Control inventory and manage labor efficiently
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through a Preventative Maintenance Plan
  • Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral/written communication skills
  • Strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • A desire for challenge and a talent for building high performance teams
  • Stable work history in restaurant management
  • At least 4 years of experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Willingness to work any day including weekends and holidays
  • Food Manager Certification is a plus
