About the position

The General Manager at Capstone Logistics LLC is responsible for overseeing the operations of a designated area within the company, ensuring that business plans are implemented effectively. This role involves managing staffing, productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards while developing associates and leaders in the organization. The General Manager will also be tasked with building relationships with stakeholders and adapting to the dynamic needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Implement the business plan for assigned area by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling.
• Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns and determine corrective actions.
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing and analyzing business reports.
• Assist in managing the site and departmental budget.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained and compliant with policies.
• Supervise and develop associates by assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to improve action plans and meet business needs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to identify business needs and implement solutions.
• Model compliance with company policies and support the company mission and values.

Requirements

• 5 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
• Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and interpret P&L statements.
• Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or third-party logistics.
• BS/BA Degree or Associates Degree with equivalent experience.
