About the position

The General Manager at The Connor Group is a pivotal role responsible for leading and motivating a team to achieve exceptional customer service and maintain profitability. This position requires a hands-on approach to management, overseeing various operational aspects including sales, maintenance, and financial performance. The General Manager is expected to drive business success while contributing positively to the community through the company's initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate your team while holding them highly accountable.
  • Effectively manage bill-pay, expense control, and full P&L statement.
  • Manage your maintenance team, coordinating work orders and apartment turns.
  • Own all aspects of sales management - Traffic Building, New Rentals, and Renewals.
  • Manage your sales team by selling alongside them.
  • Master operational systems and processes.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to community initiatives through The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years as a Store Manager, General Manager, or Market Manager of a highly complex business.
  • Proven track record in driving a profitable business.
  • Comfortable holding accountability conversations and implementing performance improvement plans.
  • Hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder with your team.
  • Open to direct feedback, resilient and solutions-oriented.
  • Assertive leader with a passion for developing others.
