About the position

The General Manager at Mastro's Steakhouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of guest service, managing staff performance, and optimizing profitability. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining the restaurant's image and adhering to company standards while fostering a positive dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Ensure all financial and personnel-related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance standards.
  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to complaints effectively.
  • Manage shifts, including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning.
  • Provide direction to employees regarding operations and procedural issues, and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of General Manager experience in an upscale/fine dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, beverages, staff supervision, and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, along with advanced computer and math skills.
  • Stable and progressive work history with a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional experience in regional or multi-unit management is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 per year.
