The General Maintenance Position creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a Hotel experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment with a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor. The general maintenance performs routine maintenance duties of the property including, but not limited to: working with small hand tools, painting, drain cleaning, plumbing fixture repair and changing light bulbs in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve the highest guest satisfaction while complying with required standards of performance. They will also be required to provide preventive maintenance to guest rooms, public areas, pools and select equipment of the property and update/maintain appropriate logs. A general maintenance engineer will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment.

* Good customer service and the ability to use hand tools and power tools are required.
* Must have open availability, to include nights, weekends, holidays.
* Must be able to work without direct supervision and be able to multi-task.
* Must communicate effectively with guests & fellow team members.
* Cleans and maintains areas as assigned.
* Strong painting skills preferred.
* Previous experience in construction and carpentry preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as well as knowledge and skills on tools used preferred.
* Must be able to provide a valid Driver's License
