About the position

The General Liability Non-Litigated Claims Supervisor at Publix is responsible for overseeing the handling of customer and non-litigated claims, ensuring effective investigation, analysis, negotiation, and settlement of claims. This role involves supervising a team, managing complex claims, and participating in quality improvement activities. The position is hybrid, allowing for remote work up to two days a week, and requires strong leadership and claims management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the overall handling of all customer and non-litigated claims and provide oversight of complex or sensitive claims.
• Lead a team by assigning claims and workflow, managing compliance with internal processes, and providing necessary training and performance management.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and claims-related meetings.
• Oversee and manage specific types of general liability claims, including complex or high exposure claims, security-related claims, and vendor-involved claims.
• Respond to telephone calls and written correspondence regarding liability claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline or a high school diploma with 7 years of claims experience.
• 5 years of liability claims handling experience.
• Ability to obtain Florida All Lines Adjuster License upon hire.
• Ability to work effectively without close supervision or guidance.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• 7 years of attorney represented liability claims handling experience with prior supervisory experience.
• CCLA, SCLA, CPCU or ARM designation.
• Fluent in a second language, preferably Spanish.
