About the position

The primary responsibility of a general laborer is to manually move freight, stock, luggage, and other materials, and/or perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work a schedule performing eight plus hours per day which could include overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas.
• Arrange totes and products neatly at workstation.
• Process product using tools to include box cutter, pallet jack, and other equipment assigned.
• Use handheld scanning device to scan barcodes on products.
• Carry out necessary procedures to process units, including applying labels when required.
• Scan products and place them in appropriate containers for respective channels.
• Execute product refinement in line with established operating protocols and ensure adherence to expected standards of quality and quantity.
• Safely load full totes of products onto the conveyor, following SOP procedures.
• Picking and packing of products.
• Sorting product into gaylords.
• Ability to conduct any other non-specialized tasks as needed.
• Clean and maintain an organized work area.
• Maintain safe work practices.

Requirements

• GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful.
• Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.
• Ability to multitask and work within prescribed standards.
• Ability to use, lift, pull, or push assigned equipment including pallet-jacks.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand and use hands for eight plus hours per day.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good hand and eye coordination required.
• Ability to work close to other associates at some stations (Less than 3 feet apart).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.
