About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering high-quality workmanship. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Supervise subcontractors and construction crews to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety protocols.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on design and materials.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations throughout the construction process.
• Prepare detailed construction estimates and proposals for clients.
• Coordinate with various trades including carpentry, electrical work, flooring installation, and concrete forming.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction painting, flooring installation, remodeling, heavy equipment operation, frame carpentry, and electrical work.
• Familiarity with construction estimating practices and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• A valid contractor's license is preferred but not mandatory.
