About the position

At Ripple Labs Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled General Compliance Manager to join our ambitious team in San Francisco, CA. This role presents an outstanding opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of our Third-Party Risk Management Program and other aspects of our Global General Compliance Program. Reporting to the Senior Manager, General Compliance, you will be an individual contributor driving compliance initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Third-Party Risk Management Program, collaborating with global compliance leads to implement and maintain program requirements.
  • Review third-party onboarding requests, conducting initial due diligence and contract reviews to determine risk profiles.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, People Operations, and Legal to ensure seamless execution of compliance processes.
  • Maintain and analyze third-party metrics to proactively identify risks and trends.
  • Support and optimize the third-party onboarding tool.
  • Perform thorough testing of program controls and recommend solutions for identified areas of improvement.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and updating of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct workforce training to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Develop comprehensive reports, presentation slides, and program materials for employees, subsidiaries, and senior leadership.
  • Provide operational support to Ripple's Business Continuity and Privacy Programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of work experience, with 4+ years in third-party risk management, preferably in the financial technology or crypto industry.
  • Exposure to privacy is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of business processes, internal control structures, and risk management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail and dedication to providing effective support.
  • Experience in project management and developing compliance monitoring tools.
  • Ability to master new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal direction.
