About the position
We are looking for a board-certified Gastroenterologist to fill a locum tenens position at a medical facility in Wisconsin. The role requires flexible coverage for clinic, lab, and on-call duties, with an immediate start date. The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for managing a diverse patient load and collaborating with a hospital PA for inpatient consults.
Responsibilities
- Provide flexible coverage for clinic, lab, and call duties.
- Manage an average of 12-16 patients per day in the clinic.
- Address emergencies and GI consults 24/7 during on-call duties.
- Collaborate with hospital PA for inpatient consults from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Handle calls, inpatient consults, and procedures during call coverage, including weekday, weeknight, and weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Availability for flexible clinic, lab, and call coverage
- Experience with inpatient consults and emergency GI care
